Children - Tots

  • Bring any regular medicines that your child may be on in your hand luggage.
  • If your child has an underlying medical issue, bring a referring letter from your specialist and identify a paediatrician shortly after your arrival in Dubai, moving can be stressful for kids and may trigger an exacerbation.
  •  Teach your child the importance of applying sun cream regularly, eventually once old enough, your child will be responsible for their own sun protection.
  • Get your child into a swim programme as soon as possible, make him / her aware of water once he/she starts to walk, supervise young children at all times and especially when near water. If you have a pool in your garden, arrange to have it fenced off at the earliest opportunity.
  • Check out Dubai Kidz www.dubaikidz.biz  a web site designed to support all families living in Dubai.
  • Ensure your child’s vaccinations are up to date, remember if not, they pose a risk to other kids as well as being at risk themselves.
  • As soon as you are settled prepare a basic first aid box, containing an insect repellent and an anti-histamine cream for post-bite discomfort.
