Dubai World Central / Al Maktoum International Airport is presently under construction in the Jebel Ali area (My Move Location Map) and is set to complete early 2010, this will initially deal solely with freight.

Travel within the Emirates is manageable by road but other gulf regions are really only mainly accessible by air, namely Emirates Airlines, Etihad, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Oman Air and Saudia Airlines. Bahrain is an hours flight whilst Riyadh is a three hour flight away. It is recommended to book these flights in advance, especially at school holiday time and on the occasion of religious festivities and celebrations. Check also if a visiting visa is required for the country you are visiting, visa organized in advance can save lots of time and embarrassment. (These can be arranged through appropriate embassies and generally take no more than a day!)

Emirates Airlines presently serves 102 destinations worldwide with 8 flights daily to London and twice daily flights to New York, so whether your travel requirements are business or pleasure you are sure to be catered for. Emirates Airline offer award winning quality of service and efficiency and continue to expand its route network as Dubai grows and prospers.
