Dubai offers much choice of restaurants, all the cuisines of the world are found throughout the city in various shapes and forms and generally standards are very high - one will not be disappointed.
Many of the restaurants are located within the hotels - due to alcohol licensing laws, all off street restaurants will not have a licence and therefore will not serve alcohol. However do not discount these, many are well worth a visit.
Service charge of 10% plus a 10% Municipality charge will be added to your bill, if exceptional service is received it is appropriate to leave 10- 15% in appreciation, in cash if possible. Alcoholic beverages are subject to a huge mark up, food itself is relatively inexpensive.
A reservation is required in many of the popular restaurants so plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
Many restaurants carry a strict dress policy, smart casual is the norm, and you will be made aware at time of reservation. Several celebrity chefs now have an associated presence in Dubai; check out their restaurants for that special occasion.
