Get copies of any significant medical and dental records you may have. This will save time when you register with a doctor/dentist in your new country.
Pay off any outstanding loans. Banks will otherwise freeze your accounts until these loans have been cleared and It is not possible to clear a loan with frozen funds.
Arrange for the relocation of your pet, ensure vaccinations are up to date and that the vaccination record is filled in accordingly, book a flight to correspond with your own.
Notify your school, get a referring letter from the Head teacher and have copies of school reports for each completed year at hand for your new school. If leaving during the academic year, request for a year to date school report.
Notify your landlord well in advance of your intention to leave, if at an early stage of your agreement discuss the possibility of sub letting the property or even breaking the contract.
Visit DEWA and your phone company to settle your accounts. Remember you have paid a deposit to both these companies upon arrival. Arrange for DEWA disconnection. Bring your residency visa with you.
If you employ a maid, upon you leaving her visa will either need to be transferred to her new employer or will lapse with your residency visa.
