DUBAI CHARITIES

There are a number of charities in Dubai that are worthy of your support. Many of these charities welcome volunteer workers either to help in-house or to help at their many fund-raising events.

  • Sunflower Children provides vital support to enable disadvantaged children throughout the world to pursue educational growth. They strive to help children around the world overcome the burdens of poverty, disease or disability to become healthy, educated, self sustaining, and contributing members of society. Clothes, toys, educational goods and medicine are distributed from Dubai around the world.

  • CITY OF HOPE                                                                            
    Dubai's shelter for abused women and children of all nationalities.

    This charity raises money to help educate children in developing countries around the world.
  • MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres)                                           www.msfuae.org
    MSF supplies emergency aid to people involved in natural or man-made disasters, epidemics or armed conflicts around the world.

    UAE based charity that supports people who are visually impaired or blind. It also raises money for research in effort to find a cure for retinal diseases.

    Gulf4good raises money for UAE charities through a range of adventure challenges. The first challenge for 2009 is a cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia.

    This charity reaches to the labourers and domestic workers of the UAE, providing food, medical assistance and advice for those in need.
